Prelude

What is Prelude? It is simply an offering brought before God. The offering you bring is precious to him.

1 Chronicles 16:29 says,

“Give to the Lord the glory he deserves!
Bring your offering and come into his presence.
Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.”

The Lord says to bring our offering. For some, this offering is a song, for some it is a dance, others may bring a written offering, or an offering of prayer.  We use all these elements and more to express our adoration for Jesus, to give him the glory he deserves. When we meet for prelude, it is more than just coming to church early to sing more songs. It is a chance to worship the Lord in a unique way. It is an opportunity to connect with God in song, poetry, prayer, art, and other creative elements that inspire worship.
